Jewish ethics is refreshingly down-to-earth.
If someone is in need, give.
The sages called this 'imitating God.'
They went further: giving hospitality to a stranger,
they said, is 'even greater than receiving the divine presence'.
- Rabbi Jonathan Sacks
One of the sections of the Mishneh Torah is the section dealing with tzedakah (charity). Maimonides wrote the Laws about Giving to Poor People In it, he provides Eight-Levels of Giving. Maimonides compared giving to a ladder, with the 8th, bottom rung being the least preferred and the top rung being the most preferred.

I admit my giving starts near the bottom of the ladder. As I become more involved with a cause I care about, my giving climbs the ladder.
Major Champions of the mission are on the top rungs of the ladder. They give through an organization because its reach is much wider and effective than any single person's contribution. Champions give to heal our fractured world.
How does your organization help Champions of your mission climb the giving ladder?
Let's talk about the giving ladder.
