Call to Action: After giving the Hero a plan, the Guide calls them to action. Often the Hero is ill equipped, filled with self-doubt and in need of help. The Guide often has to challenge the Hero to take action to resolve their problem.

Champion: Champions are people who care deeply for your organization's cause. People like volunteers, board members, givers, staff, even people the organization serves.

 

Champion is a word to make the point that it is not donors or volunteers as separate groups –it’s a way of comprehensive involvement.

Guide: If Heroes could solve their own problems, they wouldn't get into trouble. A Guide gives the Hero a plan to solve the Hero's problem and call the Hero to action.

HERO: Customer or Champion that has a problem and is looking for a solution.
